Water is like the stuff that isn't solid like the Earth, but is all wet (as opposed to dry) and flows around and gets into everything.  It covers about three-quarters of the surface of the Earth, but never to a depth of more than about six miles or so.

It is the main constituent of the oceans, seas, rivers and lakes. Sometimes fish live in it.

Parts of the Earth that are not covered by water are known as land.
