A Solar System is a thing in the Universe that consists of a star and usually some planets and probably some other stuff. The star sits in the middle and the planets revolve around it, often with some other stuff, because of gravity.
The best-known Solar System to humans is our own Solar System, which we call The Solar System. It contains the Sun, the Earth and loads of other stuff.
